On Wednesday 13th February I attended the Ubisecure IAM Academy in Stockholm, alongside Ubisecure partners from Capgemini, Scrive, Tieto, CGI, Cybercom and IQO.DK. This was our second IAM Academy held in Stockholm in 3 months, both taking place at the beautiful Norra Latin, part of Stockholm City Conference Centre.

Being new to the company myself, this was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the Ubisecure Identity Server and how it helps companies in real use cases. There were lots of great questions and thoughtful discussion, allowing partners to think about our joint services at a granular level.

What is the Ubisecure IAM Academy?

IAM Academy is a series of events providing specialised training for our partners on Ubisecure products and services. The training is executed by our fantastic Sales Engineering team and allows partners to feel more confident in offering and employing our products with their clients.

At the events, a variety of Ubisecure partners’ business functions and stakeholders are represented – Sales, Consultancy, Development etc. We therefore have different courses within IAM Academy, so that individuals can attend the most relevant training modules for their needs.

Being solely on the commercial side of Ubisecure, I attended day 1 of the IAM Academy which featured Course 1 & Course 3. These offer an ‘introduction’ to Ubisecure IAM, including the following topics:

  • Conducting Customer IAM sales presentations
  • Communicating professionally regarding Customer IAM issues
  • Presenting the most common use cases and features
  • How to show solution benefits
  • Understanding and following the steps of the Customer IAM sales process
  • Understanding Customer IAM technologies, standards and products
  • Consulting with customers on Customer IAM projects

The next 2 days were dedicated to the more technically in-depth Course 4. Course 4 is a hands-on opportunity for technical partners to gain:

  • The ability to install and configure a flexible Customer IAM solution
  • The ability to assist and support the customer in Customer IAM business analysis, product selection, installation, integration and configuration

IAM Academy embodies Ubisecure’s Partner-First Approach

The IAM Academy event series is an important part of Ubisecure’s partner-centric growth strategy. It’s a great opportunity to network and learn from many different stakeholders from the identity industry and, as a result, partners leave feeling more confident in offering/implementing our APIs.
