CIEL and Ubisecure announce partnership expansion to bring advanced digital identification with LEIs to the Middle East and beyond

Beirut, Lebanon and London, UK, May 2 2019 – Lebanese cybersecurity leaders, CIEL, and pioneering digital identity service provider, Ubisecure, today announce an extension to their strategic business partnership.

CIEL, celebrating their 45th anniversary this year, distributes security services such as SSL and PKI to customers across the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) region from their headquarters in Beirut. A key offering in their portfolio is Ubisecure’s Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) and Identity API technology – a set of advanced APIs that enable the integration of security and enhanced user experience features into customer-facing applications. Whilst the two companies have already seen great success collaborating to provide CIAM solutions for CIEL customers, the new partnership will see CIEL extending their portfolio to include Ubisecure’s RapidLEI offering.

Ubisecure launched their RapidLEI brand in 2018 – a GLEIF-accredited Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) issuer disrupting the industry with their automatic issuance process. This innovation has seen RapidLEI outpace existing LEI issuers with 600% quarter-on-quarter growth of its customer base. The service is also available as an API, making it quick and easy for CIEL to incorporate the issuance process into their own online services.

CIEL will also be among the first Ubisecure partners later this year to offer ‘RtX’ – Right to Request and/or Represent. RtX combines CIAM and LEI technology to provide an advanced ‘Know Your Customer’ (KYC) solution. As the LEI identifies organisations, and Ubisecure’s Identity Platform manages the rights of Individuals associated with the organisation, together they form an Identity Provider (IdP) service that 3rd party service providers can connect to in order to check company identity and rights of individuals to represent or request on behalf of the company.
