Latest Identity Platform software release introduces new Features and Improvements for its “best software package yet”
LONDON, UK – 15th November 2019 – Digital identity services provider, Ubisecure, has announced a new product update to its leading Identity Platform, which enables global customers to solve even the most complex digital identity challenges.
Identity Platform is Ubisecure’s API-first identity and access management software, built to enable secure, seamless, compliant experiences in digital apps and services. The platform is used to verify online identities as well as manage ongoing use of identities throughout systems. This allows service providers and their customers, partners, citizens and/or organisations to interact with services in the most engaging and efficient way possible.
Underpinning Ubisecure’s focus on microservices, the new update, Identity Server 2019.1, allows customers access to a whole host of new Features and Improvements. Building on the existing Identity Platform, an Accounting Service feature has been added to gather statistics of authenticated users in client systems, which will provide unprecedented insights into user behaviour. This feature is an invaluable resource for UX design as it will enable support teams to spot important service patterns.
The new update also features the platform’s first JavaScript extension, Ubisecure’s SSO UI – Per User Authentication Matching, which delivers a smoother sign-in experience for end users. This feature will identify the multiple sign-in options offered by a website, then streamline the process for users by automatically selecting the authentication method based on the email addresses they have already entered. In addition to minimising log-in times, this also reduces training and support costs for service providers.
Finally, the update has reformatted the Release Notes to include Known Issues, making it easier for customers to identify configuration or deployment complications that their support organisation may encounter. This level of increased transparency helps customers pinpoint areas or additional microservices that Ubisecure can develop in future releases.
As Ubisecure serves many customers in the Nordic region, the Identity Server 2019.1 release ensures functionality for the Finnish Trust Network (FTN) coming into active use and replacing TUPAS. The FTN is a Finnish scheme which allows application providers to enter into a single contract and a single integration to make use of multiple identity device providers. Further, the update follows hot on the heels of Ubisecure’s IDaaS (Identity-as-a-Service) announcement, innovating a new simplified use case of its Identity Platform in a fast and easy-to-deploy SaaS solution.
John Jellema, VP, product management at Ubisecure, says, “After listening closely to our customers and partners across the year, we’ve worked to enhance our existing procedures to enable and inspire new use cases. With the release of Identity Server 2019.1, I can confidently say that this is our best software package yet.”
