Today the Ubisecure Board of Directors announced that Simon Wood has been appointed as the company’s new CEO, effective immediately. For the detailed corporate background please read the press release on Simon’s appointment.
Simon’s appointment is part of the 2017 planned leadership expansion that we announced in November, shortly after Base 10 Ventures acquired Ubisecure, and joins us from GlobalSign where he held the position of CTO.
On a personal level I’m very excited to introduce Simon in his capacity as CEO to the Ubisecure community. I’ve worked closely with Simon in his roles as both a technology advisor for complex M&A transactions, and as a visionary and commercially focused CTO at GlobalSign. His leadership style, commitment and technology vision are world class and will be an asset to Ubisecure as the company enters its next exciting phase of growth. In his own words:
“Ubisecure has immense opportunity to a be a global leader in the identity solution and services space. The company has already established a proven Identity Platform to deliver its on-premise and cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Identity as a Service (IDaaS) offerings, and it’s exciting to consider the new services that can be built on the Identity Platforms foundation. I believe with focus and a commitment to innovation, Ubisecure is perfectly positioned to make using online identities, especially mobile and device identities, easier, safer and more private.”
Simon will also be appointed to the Ubisecure Board, and will also join the growing team of experts at Base 10 Ventures as its technology advisor.
Ubisecure has an immense opportunity to innovate in the identity space, and we are tremendously excited to have Simon guiding the ship. He will be making personal introductions to Ubisecure customers and partners in coming weeks.
